TW Braga 2011 Captain Raising Money for NI Hospice Congratulated by Marcus Rashford | March 23, 2021

What a superb and well deserved surprise for Benji that plays in the TW Braga 2011 team.

Inspired by Marcus Rashford charity work to feed children, Benji wanted to raise money for sick children and the NI Hospice.

Ben is running a mile a day to complete 26 miles during March...the length of a marathon.  His original target was £250 but he has exceeded over £5000 so far!

Sky Sports News interviewed Benji and his dad, Andrew.  Paul Gilmour asked Benji if he had a message for Manchester United's Marcus Rashford what would it be?  Benji replied, "I'd ask Marcus if he would run a mile with me."  Ben continued, making an imaginary phone with his fingers, "Marcus ring me"!

At that moment another screen appeared on their Zoom call with an empty seat.  Benji and his dad were bewildered before Manchester United and England forward, Marcus Rashford, sat down and said hello Benji!

It was such a lovely moment to capture.  Everyone at TW Braga is so proud of Benji's hard work in raising so much money for the NI Hospice.
